Semen from these three Southdown Stud rams is now available for private sale. Ivydown Basil 13/99 Ram Photograph of Basil at his 2001 Sydney Royal show win. This ram was the Centenary of Federation Prime Lamb Sire of all breeds at the Sydney Royal Show 2001 defeating Poll Dorsets, White Suffolks and the best of British Breeds exhibited when age only 20 months. Semen has been sold to New Zealand and Uruguay. He also sired the Champion Ram at this years Royal Canberra and Royal Sydney Shows with Ivydowns 37/00. He is a very even, extremely well muscled ram. Ivydowns Millennium 58/99 Ram This ram won the Objective Measurement Class at the Royal Melbourne Show in 2000, when aged 14 months with an eye muscle area of 39.99cm2 weighing 139 kilograms. He has slopping shoulders and huge hindquarter with very even muscling. He is the sire of several Stud Rams in 2000 and 2001. One of which sold to a Western Australian Stud this year. He will be retained by Ivydowns and has been used again due to his proven breeding ability. He obvioulsy passed on his superior muscling.
