Hoffman: Well, what can i say??? Nothing much
other than these are simply the best bikes around
weather it be ramp with the Condor, dirt jumping with the Taj or flatland
with the EP. The
Condor comes stock with Love handles which would have to be the best bars
around,
well they look kewl anyway, and the Condor frames kicks butt. The EP would
have
to be the best flatland bike I have seen and it's the same with the Taj
and dirt jumping.
Hoffman also make some kewl parts such as Superforks, GACK wheels and over-sized
Love handles. The Sugarbaby is a nice bike for $650 and it's the same with
the George.
Redline: Other than Hoffman, Redlines would have
to be my favorite bike, not saying they're the
best but one of my personal favorites. I currently own a 440, which is
a nice bike, but
the more up-market racing bikes are very good especially the Pro XL. I
would say that
the Redline racing bikes are the best racing bikes that are made. But their
freestyle have
left much to be desired. Although the 640 is a very nice bike, the price
is steep considering
the new Haro Cozmo and the Mongoose DMC's price are around the same price.
Haro: Well, in my opinion, the new 98' Haros's
are good value but the frames on the Shredder,
Cozmo and Ultra just don't cut it. The addition of the Revo to the 98'
range of Haro's is
good as it is only $350. Kade's opinion is that the addition of the threadless
forks and a-head
was a very good idea. He thinks that the Ultra is a very good bike for
flatland, even though it
lacks the traditional platform familiar to most flatland bikes. The Cozmo
is a very good bike
for the price of $850, coming with 3-piece Fusion cranks. In his opinion
the new 98' frame
designs are a very welcome change and they bring the Haro bicycle company
up with
Hoffman and Standard. (Kade's opinion only, no way Hoffman's are equal
to anything)
Leigh's
opinion is that they are just all right.
GT (Dyno, Robinson, Powerlite): The GT 98'
racing bikes are simply the best but the freestyle's
leave room
for improvement with the exception of the Detour which has adopted the
Dyno
Slammer
frame design. The new Vertigo really sucks with no U-Brakes. In my opinion
the
98' GT freestyle
range with the exception of the Detour is no better than the 97' range.aaa
And it seems to
be the same right throughout the Powerlite and Robinson range of 98' models.
