	Quick maturers when crossed with any breed
	No carry overs to 2 tooths.
	Ease of lambing with maiden or mature ewes or ewe lambs.
	Lambs are hardy and very active at birth.
	High percentages. Southdown rams invariably produce up to 150% lambs at marking time, resulting in more dollars per hectare under heavy stocking rates.
	Lambs can be marketed in prime condition as trade weights or heavy weights or for the elite lambs trade.
