I started collecting snowdomes in the mid-1990's. I should have started 30 or 40 years ago. While domes are making a big comeback in the United States, these exquisite little pieces of kitsch are becoming as rare as hen's teeth in Australia. The old-fashioned style of dome with the blue back and moulded, sometimes handpainted, 3D panels is disappearing faster than table manners and free state education.

This web site started out as a little self-indulgence, a chance to show off my own (hopelessly inadequate) collection to other collectors. What I would like to turn it into is a tribute to the Australian snowdome, featuring as many domes from as many collectors as possible.

Accordingly, I invite all collectors, from Australia or overseas to contribute to this site. JPG's are good, or I will scan colour photos and send them back to you. Naturally, all contributions will be acknowledged.
